Castle Montsteir

This began as an environment ideation assignment based on Elden Ring. I went with the tree motif, but have the tree growing in a lake of blood. It started out very green and washed out, like Elden Ring, but I started to paint and adjust colors and find it had a character of its own. This was a piece I let guide me, which isn't my usual process, and it turned out great. I've been designing environments and characters based off of this piece now, as I've found it very inspiring and very communicative of who I am as an artist.
When I shared it with my classmates, they gave me such positive reception, indicating a desire to design more for it, model environment pieces, and make a level out of it. It really made me feel like a concept artist.
